As the creator of Native Gem, Amanda Ezra is rewriting the rules of the jewelry world.
Her journey began at an early age, inspired by her mother’s work within the fashion legal world and her own creative pull toward art and design. As a teen, Amanda studied fine arts, enrolled in fashion design courses, and interned in both New York City and Los Angeles, cultivating a refined eye for craftsmanship and style.
After college, Amanda went on to own and operate Junkyard Showroom, a highly respected Los Angeles accessories showroom for over a decade, representing coveted brands and working closely with major department stores, specialty boutiques, and online retailers. Through this experience, she identified a clear gap in the market: women desired distinctive, thoughtfully designed jewelry that felt luxurious yet attainable, unique yet wearable. This insight became the foundation for Native Gem.
Amanda designs pieces that feel modern, versatile, and feminine, with a touch of edge and understated sensuality. Each design reflects her belief that jewelry should tell a story, evoke emotion, and feel like an extension of the woman who wears it.
Amanda personally sources the materials for each collection, selecting every stone and gemstone cut with care and intention. Her designs are inspired by her coastal life in Manhattan Beach and her love of travel. From gemstone sourcing to final design, she remains deeply involved in every detail, ensuring each piece carries both intention and artistry. Many designs are imagined and sketched just steps from the Manhattan Beach Pier alongside her beloved rescue dog, Dudley.
